@NekoiNemo: There's nothing wrong with enjoying both the classic games and the newer ones. Each have their ups and downs. I personally remembered hating the arbitrary deadline in the first game...

Hey Jo! So when do we get some art of Zerglings "rushing"? :D
@BowlerHatMan: Well, that's pretty horrible. I really liked some of the Obsidian games even if they have a lot of flaws most of the time. At least PoE is doing fine
@Jo Pereira: Actually that's a good point, there are basically zero likable characters in Starcraft universe. Everyone's a huge jerk
Oh, c'mon, Jo, Kerrigan is OK. The Queen of Blades was a bitch, but Sahar Kerrigan-human, Queen of Blades and Kerrigan after the artifact detonation are three separate consciousnesses. I kinda like present day Kerrigan, though her hair isn't as good as her human days)))
@Shellhit and the real shitkicker is they knew it wouldn't hurt sales of the game either since they've already trained their fanbase to accept buggy games, with some of their fans claiming game-crashing, bugs as FEATURES and even their least rabid fans just shrug and go "mods will fix it."
@Shellhit the end result being that Obsidian got screwed out of the pay they earned, had to cancel several games, and went through massive layoffs for a game developer because Bethesda screwed them over. It's pretty much everything sleazy about the industry.
@Shellhit Bethesda ended up skimping on QC intentionally and chose a build that was 2 months old and significantly less stable than the actual current build to give to reviewers, leading to a launch Metacritic score below 85% while everything Obsidian had control of was praised.
@Shellhit Obsidian's contract for NV required that they hit an 85% Metacritic score at launch to earn a "bonus" that added up to reasonable compensation for the work done. Bethesda retained control over the QC process and choice of which build went to press.
I loved Fallout 3, but at the absurd price tag they shoved down the throat of us brazillians ain't no way in hell I'm paying for Fallout 4. If that catches, we're screwed. We'll be back to the PS1 era where no game was ever bought original.
the same, prefer to wait a year to see the bundle with all dlc and the 2go of fix, before playing another bethesda game... Bored to lost all my save, because I walk on a bad pixel crashing the game, or just be stucked in the story, because I talk to the wrong person before I had to -_-
StarCraft, on the other hand... StarCraft has been my gaming obsession since 1998. I knew the moment it was announced as three separate games that Blizzard had me for three Collector's Editions. Here's hoping Amazon gets my LotV CE to me early in the day... and that I can get out of work early too.
No such thing as a Bethesda game that's worth buying at launch. Better to wait two years for the DLC to get bundled together, most of the bugs fixed, and for the best mods to get fully fleshed out. And I feel bad about the idea of giving them money after the bullshit they pulled on Obsidian with NV.
You liked real Fallout games, didn't like F3 and further and not excited about F4?! I would kiss you, but i'm a guy and don't sway that way. But please, stay awesome like that!
@Sigfried: This is the way I see it: If the larva doesn't eat her (its?) minerals, she will just morph into a ling, which are cannon fodder and quickly die to marines (second panel). So she decides to eat them in hopes of growing into a mighty ultralisk!
