@Zacsi UnderTale didn't get RPG, Witcher 3 did. Undertale didn't win anything. Sure, it was nominated for a few, but only that, even though it should have won something IMO.
It speaks volumes that tumblrtale got RPG. It's all catering to mass appeal and flavour of the month. This is what happens when casuals flood the market with their PC bullshit.
But unlike the Oscars, people aren't blatantly making games just to win these awards.

Indie games won like half of the nominations this year. Also, The Walking Dead were pretty indie yet they ended up being a game of the year in the past.
Last year the dewritos pope seemed like he had hope, now it just looks like he went full cash bandwagon, and only payed lip service last year to gain an audience for this years show.
That's because most indie games aren't that good, a lot of them are just kind of gimmicky or try pass of pixel graphics as a feature. There are a few indie games I actually liked but they still can't compare to something like Witcher 3 or DA Inquisition.
Undertale wins MY game of the year 2015. I don't care what anybody else says. And yes it does stand up against Fallout 4, Witcher 3 and everything else this year has brought our gaming industry.
