Because somewhere along the way society decided that it didn't matter how comfortable the couch is as long as it looks good. The last couch my parents bought is AWFUL; but it matched the recliner, and god forbid the living room furniture doesn't match exactly.

The mundane fantasy idea of tentacle Jo buying a coach and having a cat (and planning around it) is really really cute.

It is my weakness.

Like any character that I like for whatever reason doing these things makes me happy.

Jo, if you're concerned about cats destroying furniture, buy a good scratching post and put it directly next to the couch. I did it and my cat doesn't bother ruining shit anymore.
