Ohhh Enchantress, fear not. There are PLENTY of people willing to go out with you. Although nothing can be done about the slowed down physical movements, hope you like teasing! Because godamn, you are getting plenty of dat.
Last time I played PoE I used a self immolation build. That was fun, even if it wasn't safe one (how is even build based on hurting yourself can be safe).
For the ones who didn't get the joke, enchantress has a passive ability that slows everyone... engaging her by 80% for attack and movement, practically invincible against physical attacks.
@Construction Zombie: Projectile and physical nodes, plus closer to all three Frenzy charges, it would have made for an interesting EK build. Besides, I'm kinda sick of playing Shadow/Witch since it feels like those are the only viable classes these days, and subclasses are going to reinforce that.
or witch because you're getting spell damage, cast speed, criticals, and tons more useful sundries that go into making a viable caster. If you're starting from ranger to get everything useful from other bases of trees, that isn't true diversity. It's just a skin swap. (2/2)
@Zero: I really can't imagine what you're trying to get out of a caster ranger. There aren't many nodes that support going anything spell-based on ranger before ascendancy to begin with. Maybe you're trying to go physical spells, but you're still going to have a massive advantage going shadow (1/2)
As far as PoE goes, the irony is that Ascendancy is going to torpedo build variety. They are very distinct classes that cater to a few builds. I was going to make a spellcaster Ranger, but none of the new Ranger classes support it enough. That and some classes are just bad (Elementalist lol)
I wouldn't mind the DOTA2 jokes if they weren't exclusively in-jokes that require DOTA2 knowledge. Like, I could get the X-Com snake woman joke because snake tits are goofy, and you don't need to have played X-Com to know that snake tits are goofy. I don't know what the hell is happening here.
@Thelonius Dunk: Enchantress, the female character here, has a passive spell called "Untouchable". In the game, it just slows down anyone that hits her, but Jo took the name more literally here.
@Nroejb: Not being able to cheaply change skills is the issue for me. I like to experiment, and sure am I not leveling from scratch just to swap a couple of skill points.
There always are a few builds with which even a casual can play and keep up in the leagues, but the choises and complexity sure increase with time and work one is willing to spend.
