In Magic we prefer to call it "playing to your outs". Since I've started playing Hearthstone recently I frequently muse how it feels a bit like playing limited drafts with a Commander.
I would go as far as to say that Heartstone, at least as it currently is, is mostly about dumb luck, but that's not a bad thing. It's what gives it a more fast-paced and arcade-y feel compared to the more ponderous "classic" CCGs out there, and it's still fun.
I hate being spectated. I'm always trying new decks and I'll obviously lose, probably more than 3 times in a row. And I feel so pressured to win when being spectated that i end up making dumb mistakes. I eventually just kick them out.
