The usual, verify game files and reinstall. Haven't ever had that happening to me. As for me, I'm playing Witcher 3 after 100 hours of the 1st and 50 hours of the 2nd, that's a game worth playing.
@Jo: If your graphics card supports Vulkan (many do, but you should google it anyway), try to switch to that with the "-vulkan" start parameter for Dota. It generally brings a noticeable FPS increase for AMD cards. Might also fix your problem with those stutters, regardless of the card manufacturer.
I haven't had the FPS drop, but I recently abandoned DOTA2 because it's overrun with 3rd-party bots that make the game unplayable. It's really unpleasant to be locked into an hour-long game with only 2 humans, and 3 feeder bots that do nothing but make things harder for us. Can't even abandon. :(
Oh, Jo's playing Axiom Verge, neat! Just remember that if your screen gets scan lines on it, look for any blocks that can be drilled, hacked, or passed through (Trace or drone). The secret worlds beyond can contain incredible treasures.

@Shellhit: Larger point, Acolyte of Pain is a neutral card, so really any character could be used in the last panel. But Garrosh has the highest comedic impact in this scenario.
