@Raxyz: It's in the work currently. But we don't know when it will be released. Apparently there's going to be a map revolving Attikus's uprising. That's all i know.
Seeing that Battleborn keep making new content roughly every month or two(last character voiced by a team fourstar crew!) and the dev team is showing new modes, maps, single player story and more characters behind the scene...
I'd say the game is doing pretty good despite the low player count!
New character for Battleborn. Grenade launcher small pudgy pink bird with Mr. T voice. It's interesting, at least. Battleborn didn't have an issue with characterization, I felt. Just that drawn out gameplay.
And yet TF2 made competitive matchmaking better. For example, your individual performance actually matters in your rank aside from when your team wins or not. You lose less rank if you actually pullled your weight.
@Andrew Vrba: Do they really have to change away from the source engine? It has seen constant updates ever since its release to make sure that it works well on both older and newer machines.
BB's requirements are too high for a PvP game. Online Arena games should be accessible, and Battleborn isn't one. Seriously, I can run fine Witcher3, OW and now DeusEx:MKD on low specs, and I can't run half of BB maps without massive FPS drops. There's a reason, why it's more popular on consoles
TF2 is a good stable with it's own twists. Overwatch is a new upgrade with it's own perks and flaws. Battleborn is nice... but sadly more PVP focused when PVE is a lot more fun.
Overwatch continues to grow with Blizzard addiction. Battleborn just is lost between the other two games.
The thing about TF2 is that it cannot trully die. Old people leave new ones come in to fill the void. Most of the time old people give their shit away (and regret it a week later). Carrot and stick at it's finest. As long as there are gullible OCD faggots on the net the game goes on. (and the MONEY)
Well you are right TF2 really needs something really new.
Otherwise no comebacks. And by comebacks I mean people that left TF2 that could return if the ´´really new´´ thing would happen.
Battleborn could be faring better had they focused more on single player content. Most of the fans were looking for a Borderlands experience with a twist, not a PvP...
As for multiplayer games, well, I've never liked them except for some of the Valve ones.

@MangoMaster4: I played TF2 comp for a good 2 years, 6v6 is the standard mode for it, 2 scouts 2 soldiers a demo and a medic. They can offclass no problem but only 1 heavy is allowed also most of the weapons are banned. I think it's the most fun, highlander is too chaotic to be a good comp mode
@MangoMaster4: 6v6 and Highlander are both parts of the TF2 competitive scene, with 6v6 being arguably the "bigger" scene. It has a lot more rules though than Valve's 6v6, such as class restrictions.
@Jo Pereira: Well you're right that it was probably intended, but since the gameplay is "borrowed" from TF2, it doesn't make much sense. In the end, it doesn't matter too much anyway since you're supposed to play what you think is more fun and that might be competitive.
