answering your doubt about the boston major... I bought almost every comp since 2014, and that's why I say, Don't. Valve got too fucking greedy, completing quests and betting isn't enough to get max level as it used to be in the past. Now you MUST buy chests and infusers and shit to reach max level.

And my advice is don't do it. More than a month has passed already since the pass went live, that's a month lost of spoils. Besides, having a look at their prizes, it's much worse than the TI one IMO.
