Thing is, most, if not all heroes depend on cybernetics for their skills. But it is clear that they don't loose control, just more advanced functions. And weapons are mostly unaffected - military tech (Meka) is rather hack-proof.
And 6s is really short time.
@The Pug: She apparently is in the same position that one would be on a motorcycle inside there. She is basically straddling the engine. If you were to open the back end that she jumps in when she mounts it, you would see Korean Booty.
The way they made Sombra's hack ability is so stupid, it's like McCree's flashbang without the stun but instead a 6 sec cooldown for most abilities and ults.
I'm fairly certain that hacking D.Va stops her from calling a Meka/making it blow up as long as she hasn't already done so. Also, Sombra hacks only last 6 seconds.
I think the MEKA being unhackable is not an oversight. You can hack spiritual enlightment, you can hack magic dragons and you can hack raw physical strength but you can't hack a machine?
Actually now that I think about it lore-wise it makes 100% sense as the piloted MEKA units went into service because the giant Omnic in Korea couldn't hack those like it could the non-piloted ones they used before.
It's implied that mccree relies on his cyber arm when he ultis so it kinda makes sense and with Winston I'm assuming it disables his suit so he doesn't get super strength. But d.VA ultimate should still be disabled.
McCree probably uses some Smartwatch or something so he CAN get hacked, and then of course that means it is not possible for him to look up and see if it is high noon or not.
