@Moustachio Furioso: I feel like the original tboi (the flash version) was easier because one could sometimes squeeze around enemies while they fixed that with rebirth.
I strongly disagree with putting the item info in the game. Those who want to alt-tab to find out might do so, but i want my game vanilla. Didn't buy afterbirth+ yet, but also didn't read all that much good about it. Really sad, i'm a hardcore TBOI-fanboy
@Nerf NOW!!: Did you check out the depths of the darkest dungeon? It's out of early access and I've thrown away 20 ranks of level 0 rookies already :D.
It's not just you. The whole Binding of Isaac is in uproar for this update, in particular the speedrunning community, as everything added in the game is down right bad and non functional. There's a reason it's rated 50% on Steam while the main game and AB are >90%.
At the mention of the design behind binding of isaac, I'd like to point out that, once steam workshop was put in,2/3 of the most popular mods are "have it tell you what an item does beforehand" and "give you an indicator about how charged your items are.So others agree,it's annoying.
Jo, did you know there's a guy on youtube who plays TBoI everyday since it first came out? You might want to watch how he plays. Just searchfor Northernlion on youtube

It's something I've noticed about Rebirth and its expansions compared to the original: rather than harder, they're actually just more luck-based, which is very frustrating. If you aren't lucky enough to get OP items, you might as well retry. I never felt that way with the original Isaac.
I agree it's definitely harder, but honestly roguelikes aren't games you should be able to beat constantly IMO. I did laugh at beating Super Mega Ultra Greed for the first time tonight, his second phase's attacks are almost all explosive, and I happened to grab Pyromaniac earlier... XD
@SteventheSlayer: I played it, but found the weapons kind underpowered to be honest, like... everything take too long to die until you get something like an AK-47.
Have you checked out Enter the Gungeon, Joe? It's pretty similar, but has better descriptions to what exactly everything does. Also, very thematically pleasing. Definitely my favorite roguelike dungeon crawler.
Thou I don't think I'l play it for long, I need some super OP combo on the 1st itens to be able to go now as opposed of picking whatever and reaching Mom easily.
