@Roman Markeyev: Even if her name is russian, her nickname was given by a non-russian guy (brazilian).
In Brazil Francisco is a very common name, but we usually short it to Chico. I had a japanese granfather, whose name was Shigemoto and people called him Chico as well since it was easier.
@Roman it's not like she was born and baptized in Russia. Lore-wise, Alek was named by Jo after she and the other three girls were chosen as a replacement for Engie, so it's not like she NEEDS to have a Russian name.
You cyka.
@Ellis Warner: Yes he is a big tentacle with smaller tentacles as limbs. Their number shown depends on strip, but anyway he uses something to hold the pen, right?
So... I know this is going back to the actually good hair and all comic, but there is one thing that was bothering me for a loooong time now: there is no female Aleks in Russian naming convention. They are called "Sasha" if you wanted get a short for "Aleksandra"
@Shellhit: Yeah. In a comic where a tentacle lives with a bunch of anime/gaming archetypes, suspension of disbelief over stuff like accents is pretty high.
@Shellhit: but there is also a tendency amongst Russian ESL speakers to overcorrect, resulting in grammar like "But isn't it being far harder to do the drawing without having the limbs?"
I guess nobody really cares, but there are almost no "be"s in Russian language. For example "it is hard" will be "eto slozhno"("it hard"). So the best way to convey Russian accent is to drop copulas.
:( its kinda too bad she is unstoppable by anyone if she really wants something. Making me remember the amount of Heavies killed by grenades and stickies in TF2 - high HP and damage won't help against powerful weapons or concentrated fire. But yes I like yellow/gold hair much more
Now that i see Alek in this uniform, something triggered in my mind :
The uniform design strongly remind me NOEL from BLAZBLUE CHRONOPHANTASMA :O
same little top same little tie xD
Interesting idea you had for discussion however seeing as I've already forgotten the game's title between posting a photo note, the game was probably forgettable.
