The thing about Roadhog hooks and Overwatch in general is that you need to PRE-EMPTIVELY dodge the hook because of Overwatch's shitty latency compensation. If you turn a corner and see Roadhog at hook distance, and then start dodging, you're already too late if he's thrown the hook.

More often than not I just juke the hooks, either through zigzagging or just feinting in a direction. What heroes do you normally play Jo? Rein's shield deflects hook up too

@Prentice Neto you can kill tanks if you play Roadhog. Or Symmetra (I'm still salty about her). I tried S76 and D.Va against Roadhogs, and they STILL manage to outlive my damage. Seriously.

If you play reaper, you'll find that roadhog is the (second) easiest tank to kill, you can actually deal damage faster than he can self-heal. D.Va and S76 work well against him for the same reason, big hitbox + no armor.

As Roadhog, if you're landing most hooks, it's because you're playing against people who have no map awareness. Competent players dodge that shit 90% of the time. Also, if you feel like he has infinite health, it's because you're fighting him alone. You can't kill tanks alone. (besides Winston...)

Roadhog / DVA / Assault Rienhardt: Have a major team disadvantage. They give huge boosts to the opponents Ult charge due to massive hitpoints & hitbox.

Tracer bounces around and gets killed (150 HP charge). Roadhog overextends - he self heals - gets killed (900 HP charge). He's a feeder.

I am a hog main so i really should not help you, but zinyatta is hogs cryptonite, the extra dmg makes him killable from 600 to 0 while hes standing still to hook

On the flip side, it's almost impossible for him to kill anyone without the hook because of the spread (except as you said with tanks). And he's essentially an ult farm since he's such a bullet sponge.

It's super frustrating being one-shoted by hook combo, but overall Roadhog doesn't feel too op. If he misses his hook, he's useless for next 8 seconds. And it's pretty easy to bait and dodge the hook 2.1 now. Just don't engage him in an open area without a barrier to hide your ass behind.
