I'm with you the majority of the time on this one Jo. I still occasionally like to have some kind of brain-dead game to play though, otherwise I'll never be able to watch a show/movie or listen to music due to my ADHD preventing me from being able to not do something with my hands.
I usually have YouTube running. If I'm herb-farming in WOW, I may have a blacksmithing channel running, or a let's play or something. When I'm raiding, it's music. I do NOT want something to divide my attention when my guild is depending on me to do what I'm doing (main DPS, off-tank).
@Snadzies well when you think about it how long has Eve been running? it probably was like Elite at first. no ones gonna sabotage an economy that isn't fully fleshed out yet.(at least not successfully, it'll just alter the flow a bit)
@Snadzies: thing is, if elite dangerous had interesting, multi-choice quests with consequences and a "living" feel to it, it wouldn't be that boring to fly around. But there's no such thing - if you're a trader, all you do is fly from A to B and all quests are the same.
I've tried to play Elite a few time but it just feels like the most boring parts of EVE minus the bat shit crazy political and espionage stuff / alliance wars.
