Another way would be to make the lower tiers more rewarding because most patrons just donate a dollar, but a LOT of people do so.

As Adam said, simply giving all previous rewards to new patrons would be unfair to long-time patrons, and destroy the incentive to become one ("Why sign up now when I'll get more rewards for signing up later").
@Zygfryd Niewiadomski: the fact that you don't get older rewards is also pretty damning in it's own right, I messaged jo about it once and he said if you wanted all of the old stuff you had to pay 100 bucks to him. Which per picture makes enough sense in a vacuum but that's too much to pay period.
@Adam Jensen: You only get stuff for the month you paid for. Which is double silly, as payments are only processed on 1st of the month, so if you were to subscribe now, you wouldn't be charged, but you wouldn't get anything from Jo until May 1st
How does Parteon work? I never used it. If i donate now, will i get all previous rewards? If NO - it's unfair, because how can i get them then? if YES - it's unfair too because someone payed all year long and i will get it with 1 donation. Or it depends artist and there is no common rule?
There's too many people to support and I probably wouldn't pay for this covered up "cheesecake" stuff. Explicit* is better than teasing "ecchi" stuff 99% of the time unless it's just really awful explicit stuff AND really really good ecchi.

I still think Jo would get a lot more patreon money if he made straight up porn like you can find on the "Jopereira" paheal tag. That's still some of his best work ever IMO
@tom641: The only reason nobody leaks them is that there is nothing worthwhile to leak. Those cheesecakes have worse art quality than the comic strips and they are clean anyway, the characters are nude, but always 'strategically censored' which makes for an even worse tease than what's in the comics
@Matthew Bruning: I usually update stuff on personal messages, but I guess I should start sending warnings on the general post so people don't see it empty.
@Matthew Bruning: He actually makes pinups and only sends them by PM, but nobody ever leaks them after the fact and he doesn't release them later so most people don't actually know that and think it's just dead.
