Meanwhile the stagnant beast known as WoW continues its labored breath as old fans become jaded and bored or go further into the grind to justify their 14 years of investment.

Sorry, Wildstar. You looked good but I had hitched my wagon to WoW and by the time you came along... they were already so much of a skinner box I had lost interest in MMOs

Well yeah, it's NCSoft. I remember City of Heroes. Never again

MMOs are a dime a dozen.

I was more excited about Wildstar's design and setting than *anything*.

But the game was still an MMO - repetitive, dull, and ultimately pointless.

The problem is too many studio's are closing down. Alot of them can get eclipsed by the bigger one's. Still sad to see it go, but honestly not unexpected. The MMO craze has really died down over the year's.

Finally someone is talking about Carbine closing. It's like nobody even noticed lol. I loved WildStar (one of the reason why it looks a bit like WoW, it's because their team used to work for Blizzy). The best housing system to date. I will miss this game greatly. It was a beautiful title :(
