That's the point though. From the outset, Superman was meant to be an inspiration hero, where as Batman was meant to make criminals shit themselves in fear.
What i dislike most about DC Universe is that supernatural and extraterrestrial universe merged with "down to Earth psychological" universe of Batman. Batman vilains are complexe psychopaths, while other universe vilains are juste world conquerors.
@Dustin Cochran
Batman vs Superman scenario probably would occur when one of the two stops being a hero and turns more to the villain side, and that's what keeps Batman worried about the Man of Steel.
I would expect the fight to go down very similar to the animated series fight. The TL:DR of that fight was, there wasn't one because they're both heroes and understand that fact.
How do you keep Superman from becoming a villain? Give Lois Lane immortality. And not lame-ass "keep aging" immortality. Eternal youth and invulnerability.
(Of course... you still have to figure out how to avoid Legion scenarios...)
The Batman/Superman fights always seem to boil down to Batman being equipped and prepared to a point of ludicrousness. And kryptonite. It's always something kryptonite based, but only after twenty other gadgets get tried first.
Superman isn't that bad besides sort of making a lot of his own villans. Batman doesn't have his own sparkling city and corruption + stupidity is the reason why a lot of his own villains escape so easily. Seriously why hasn't the government updated the Gotham jail cells even with super villians?
Well, Batman IS paranoid, and would think any member of Justice League crossing over to the evil side would probably scar the world far worse than Joker ever would. For example, take the Injustice game series. Superman didn't even go all the way down, and the world was under his iron fist ruling.
I just don’t get it. Why does everything have to be a competition? One is literally two steps from being beyond that of a divine entity capable of wiping the true Darkseid off every plane of existence, including the one his ultimate self resides in. The other is the epitome of self-sacrifice.
