Valve released a patch that fixed some bugs on Half-Life. We are talking about the original Half-Life which was probably coded on stone tablets using a chisel and someone up there somehow decided to dust out some old code and fix some shit.
I have no idea of why some Valve worker, which is probably very skilled and has an expensive man-hour end up fixing the code of such an old game but it happened.
Perhaps was something very simple and our mysterious coder decided to flex some codling skill and do some autumn cleaning. Sometimes is nice to be able to sit down and be able to do something with tangible results.
