Reminds me of Bastion. Strong narrator that really turns the game into a story. From the comments below it sounds like Bastion did a better job with the narrator. Also a shout out to The Stanley Parable for the narrator there.
I can't tell which is the cutest Anne in this one. I *think* it's Anne #1, but Anne #3 has a good thing going for it. Then there's Anne #2's curious look...
The narrator is cool until you realize he speaks for every single NPC in the game, telling you in third person what you've been told by that NPC. In longer play sessions, it becomes tiresome and difficult to follow.
I once worked up a script. It had a guy who was going threw his normal life as it is being narrated by Wayne June in Darkest Dungeon form.
Said guy becomes aware of it over the day, and goes to bed hoping that Wayne's gone tomorrow. Only to wake up to find Kevan Brighting now has the job
The big problem with the narrator was how often you lost control of your character and the camera slowly to point at something the narrator wanted you to look at. It just ruins the pacing of the game.
Based on the gameplays i've seen, i did think the narrator talked a bit much in some points; i'd prefer if the characters themselves talked. But it's fine, i like his voice. It doesn't make the game bad or anything.
People talking positively of a thing they plan to get and use is like how few people go into a fight expecting to lose.
They probably wouldn't start the fight if they didn't think they'd win.
