I am hungry, and a hungry Jo wants to rant about food instead of videogames.
Some ex-Bioware people said they want to make RPGs that are not open-world but shorter, more rich experiences and after playing Encased for hours I can totally see that. I hardly have time to play a single game for dozen of hours. It's not like I don't enjoy long games but I simply don't have the time for it.
Stuff like crafting, looting dozen of boxes for materials, transversing maps, and "survival mechanics" like hunger and thirst do little to improve my experience. I want nice dialogues, hard decisions, and engaging combat, not managing my inventory and checking trash bins.
