It's a game with a multiplayer focus, with a history of a bunch of cosmetic armour skins and people previously unlocking them. People are comparing to previous games amounts of cosmetic and such. It is, pardon the pun, spartan in its rewards.

the gameplay is fucking amazing but you barely get shit for playing.
first level up I got 2 nameplate backgrounds and a cosmetic I couldnt use without the battlepass. second level up I got an item I couldn't use without the battleplass. yeesh.

A lot of the major complaints comes from the fact that not only did they do it better in previous titles.

But F2P or not I don't think i've seen the worst gotcha games charge $8 for an identical blue color that you can't equip on that specific core.
