Triports are like Flight Points in WoW, except far more numerous, so you are constantly adding them.

However, because they are so numerous, eventually you will cross a zone and forget to pick one, and the one you skipped will be the one you'll want to use to get back to a specific place so I just made a habit to go to the Triport first and see what world-ending problem is affecting the city after that.
