My take is that it sucks to pay for a game that does a 180-degree turn down the road.
Skullgirls made cash selling an oversexualized fighting game and now they are having second thoughts, but they got to keep the money either way.
It worries me how much control the companies have over the content you already paid for. Imagine if Nintendo decided to remove Ankah (the yellow cat from Animal Crossing) from the game because Zone did some porn animation of her.
The point is that the devs have control over it and maybe you agree with the changes this time, but you better realize this may not be like that tomorrow, and by normalizing this now you give companies a pass to do more in the future.
