I bought Starfield day 1, I knew better. It was better than I expected. It was worse than I expected. All in all, no regret for buying it. If you don't like it, I understand. I'm surprisingly good with it as is. It doesn't hold my attention like Skyrim did. But its also way less buggy too.
I tried the game for "free" with Game Pass for a few hours... Then I stopped, because I didn't felt anything.
If it was a short game of about 15-20h, I could have tried to finish it, just to be sure... but a Bethesda game... naaah, don't want to wait 100h to have an opinion.
Starfield's biggest issue is it doesn't have that "Ooo, what's over there" that you usually get in open world game.
25ish hours and I never found anything wandering around a planet that was worth exploring.

Remember how Larian released Baldur's Gate ahead of the original schedule in order to not compete with Starfield, because they were worried? Fun times.
Yeah... that's the thing. Starfield may seem great now but after the glitter wears off, you're going to start seeing serious problems with it and it's just not going to last as long as other Bethesda RPGs did.

Yeah, Starfield just doesn't cut it compared to other recent games.
Next comic Angie's reaction to BG3 flirting with her?

Honestly, buying it on day one isn't the problem in this case. The game works fine, its less buggy than most Bethesda games. It just feels lacking as a whole.
I bought it on day 1 and had fun. Same people played Diablo and had fun. Also the people who by Gatcha game's and don't mind paying in them. "Fun" is retaliative to different people. That's why genre's are a thing.
Who are all these people buying Bethesda games on day one, and why are they not being treated for mental illness?

What little I've seen of the game looks fun enough, but I'm not going to buy it until they've released the complete edition and I can get the whole thing for about $30. That's usually the 'dollar to fun' ratio I get out of Bethesda titles.
