My take on both Golden Axe and Shinobi in 2024.

Golden Axe was a beat'em up, a genre that was very popular back then but fell out of favor around the Playstation age. Can the genre make a comeback? As a niche maybe but I doubt about the mainstream appeal without something extra.

Shinobi has ninjas and a nice soundtrack. Ninjas and nice soundtracks always have a place.

While I like both games, I think both IPs are pretty simple by today's standards, maybe even generic, but this can be a good thing where lots of games are over-designed and unfocused.
