Well, one reason is that games are very specific experiences, unlike different flavors of ice cream which are all ultimately "ice cream". Maybe you just really want to play Mario Kart, and something that is just as good isn't a compromise because it's not MK.

There are games that are worth 100 bucks and there are games that are not worth even one. And the price tag don't get it right most of the times.
I will not buy the game because of the reasons Jo said and because the game will surely have more DLCs, gamepass and similar tactics, so it's not only90

I have the money, so I don't mind paying for it at that price. Honestly thought game prices would jump that high years ago. I'm just not willing to hunt for it if it's hard to get easily, and need to look into scalpers market.

There is always games that are worth of price tag, but generally I need to know that I like the game if it cost more than 20€, so new franchises are usually off the table for me without sales. My general rule is that money / fun value need to be more than 1 hour / 1€ for game to be fun for price.

1 wish? easy. I wish for the complete removal of the concept of greed.

I hear you on the price. I honestly thought it would be EA who takes the plunge. Nintendo doing it makes it sting all the more. I'm not gonna be going into that bog of increased pricing. I won't hold it against people who buy; but I see no reason a price increase is needed.

if your honestly so stupid to believe that short term gain's are going to work in the long run, your as ignorant as everyone else who's failed to learn from history.

Ha! I was right, america is now in a way better trading position than before and all the haters are now silent! People really need to learn, how trade wars are fought.
And yes, that is the problem with many Nintendo games, how much entertainment do i get out of a game for the price? And

Look at it this way, Angie. Now you don't have to deal with everyone trying to mooch off you. Instead you get to mooch off Anne, since she'd have to be a real jerk to say no to someone that brought about world peace, after all.

Nintendo makes about 4 game series I'm really interested in. I'd love to play them, but I'm not buying a console to play 4 games. Nintendo's games are overpriced and what they call a sale is very disappointing. I'll stick to PC games, thank you very much.

"what? We already have world peace".

Bellular News did an annalists video on how Nintendo thought they could slide this price hike past us. "AAA Publishers Are Delighted..."
It gives me reasons to pass on AAA games an support small third party developers. Also the few times I do go for AAA games its when they are on sale.

I wonder how many people will actually pay $80 for Mario Kart, and not just buy the bundle? I almost wonder if it's only that expensive as RRP to justify the bundle price being +$50 and other games being $60-$70, via Anchoring https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anchoring_effect#Anchoring_in_pricing

Many people are already realizing that Nintendo is a company, not a video game NGO.

gameplay wise, the main concern is free-roam sections of grand prix have large portions of the track going in a straight line

but what's present in those sections is traffic, toad's turnpike, mushroom bridge and mushroom bridge are very simple tracks with traffic, and they're all fan favs
