I went through pokemon (didn't even play with the damn cards) and Yugioh. Both were a gigantic money sink. Looking back I have no idea why she spent so much money on that stuff when she was extremely strict with money everywhere else. I mean I got 20$ for my birthday each year, thats like 2 boosters

My best friend got me back into Magic a few months back. It really is a money sink.

I used to have an elf deck... then 7th edition went out and I didn't have the motivation to rebuild it for type 2. I wasn't that good anyway.

Opening new cards is far too nice. But the horde of unused cards was the reason I quit magic. Where are you meant to store them all :|

Buying thousands of cards to use sixty of them in a deck is not very cost effective either.

Summer sales are tempting but I rather spend more on games to support good devs when I decide to go shopping, if possible.

Also trying to save up money for Warhammer40k: Space Marine at the end of summer. I hope it will also have a decent multiplayer, but Relic never failed to deliver as of yet.

I never did play Magic I played HKK witch is the Hungarian ripoff version of it with a whole different ruleset. (eg.: mana doesn't come from land it comes creatures that we keep outside combat and it stack per round.
