I really wish I bought this game. I haven't played magic in a while, and that's just the game to fill my boredom. Also for the hats...

You play Vindictus don't you.
That is totally a Fiona wearing a Shining Will set using an Ivory Longsword and Eagle Heart. I can't believe it. :D

@Discrider: I remember when people didn't even know all the possible cards on a set and got surprised the first time they saw a card like Serra Angel. I used green at first because it was the only deck I had enough creatures. A Craw Wurm was a game winning card at that time.

Honestly I quit Magic because of the meta.
No point trying to build a deck when your opponent is just going to use an epic build off the internet.
Online Magic is more enticing cause I might spam out builds at several per day until I get one that works.

@Miguel Young: Porquê nós não podemos ter jogadores quem sabem Magic arruinando o jogo para todo. No lance, pelo menos.

I love playing Magic. I could never build a winning deck though. The closest I've gotten was my white/red Artifact deck. Just keep pumping out Myr and recycling the dead ones into 3/3 golems.

I used to play Magic.
Then some asshole ginger stole my good cards.
Been 7 years now since that. I've played maybe one game every couple of years with my friends, but I'm just not willing to put that kind of money into it again to get a decent deck going.

I used to be into Magic. I loved playing goblins (Goblin Guide+Warren Instigator+Goblin Bushwacker+Seige-Gang Commander=good times)
It just got way to expensive for me. Now I collect comics.

Oh, I thank you all too. Now I remember the OTHER reason under my Magic career's left: my local Magic community SUCKED on Ice. It was composed mostly by egocentric morons, always fearing that some new entries could steal the show out of them. I don't know how I've resisted the insults and the mobbin

@CosmicKirby It's all one set. She has the funny helmet, scarf breastplate, and seethrough skirt of the shining will armor set from Vindictus. The only thing she doesn't have on that can be seen is the gauntlets.

I just keep my old goblin deck and play a few games when I get the chance. seriously screw tourney play if cards that came out ten years ago aren't valid. (mild sarcasm)

Uh-oh, that guy with the green cards is screwed! I've seen a game or two, and I know that green cards are trees and red cards are fire/lava, so the guy with the red cards is going to burn the first guy's tree and win.
I'm such a pro; I always win at this game.

unless your doing torunamints, jsut make proxy decks. thats what i did. i love my proxy zombie deck. unless im playing against more than one artifact, its perfect.

Considering that you get shitty cards and can't even properly modify your deck, it's hardly cheaper than buying a starter. Cheaper than buying 6 of them, yes, but in real life you cam at least make land-to-deck-size ratio proper -.-'

I use OCTGN to play for free. It's a card game engine that has the full Magic game with all card sets implemented. You have access to every card, can play online, and it's all 100% free.
You have to find the Magic sets on forums somewhere, and not much is auto, but it works. And it's cheaper!

"- You will miss the social aspect of the game"
Unless your local Magic community is like mine, and you have the urge to just toss a molotov into the room every so often.
Hopefully this BlizzCon is the one Blizzard finally announces the online version of the WoWTCG that's been rumored in the works

I do agree that the card game is expensive, but I have a bunch of friends who regularly play the game, so it's worth it.

Comecei a jogar magic na época do The Darkness ;)

Personally, my biggest complaint with the game is the lack of Archenemy for human players. Other than that, Jo's list is spot on!

This is why I'm kinda givin' up paper Magic for MTGO. Also, I'm probably gonna just ignore constructed in favor of just drafting once a week, since drafting is entertaining.

I used to play Magic, but I quitted it after a while, when I realized that to keep up the competition you have to spend a LARGE amount of money just to buy the right cards. A shame

Why does Engi-Tan have like 5 different armor sets on?
Falos
I tried it a bit at my friend's, the casual'd timing system was stupid.
For example, there's no "begin combat" step after first opponent mainphase. This means those blinders they give white can't be banked, you have to blow them prematurely or it skips right to declaring attackers.

Or you could use http://www.magicworkstation.com/ essentially free and with unlimited access to all cards, perhaps not as pretty as Magic 2012. But it can also be used to play pretty much every other CCG out there.
