Generally going Engie for a Scout just leads to "Use more gun", at which point half your team is Scout because 1 Sentry isn't stopping him, and the Scout going Spy.

Replace the sentry with a minisentry and this will be 100% true.

Try playing a Combat Engie sometime, aiming is HUGELY important. Every fight vs. a Soldier or Demoman is a DPS race: Can I hit him with enough damage from Morgan (my Rage-Inducing Shotgun)to kill him before he kills me?

I see now, it is intentionally paralleling the Scout's behavior with that of the Gingerbread Man; and as such, comparing the Engineer with the fox who caught the Gingerbread Man. Now <i>this</i> is where having a random character be a humanoid fox makes sense and is part of the joke.

Plus, they themselves are extremely squishy, and are the only ones who can fix machines. The rest of the classes have Medics and Medpacks.
