Anyone notice the idiot Hyperstar69?
Silly him telling Jo DS's don't have removable batteries :P

When I go camping, I take a perverse delight in not using any of my electronic devices. DS? Sure, but only one battery and no charger. Text? With what service? I keep my phone off to preserve battery. Email? It can fucking wait. I'm in the goddamn wilderness here, fuck your technology.

@nudist guy: I'm not very confortable about leaving my genitals exposed on the wild. Any damage would be much more unconfortable there than in any other body part...
There aren't jellyfishes in fresh water but still...

CAMPING IS AMAZING.
Swimming naked in a lake is the best thing ever, better than internet.

This is why you keep a solar charger, and/or an older and more battery-efficient handheld, for just such a situation. Or make sure you're going to a place with a campsite, visitor's center, and/or snackshop that has electricity. ;-)

I want to admire Orange's dedication, but truthfully, I suspect that the story ends with Red catching several new Pokemon and Orange catching a bad mosquito rash.

I'm always pleased to see Engie-tan.
As in the orange haired one. Short, red hair engie is Engie-tan(1). Remember that. It could save your life.

Y'know you could make the comic about just the two Engies and I wouldn't mind much.
On an unrelated note does anyone actually find photo notes where people say "MINE", "Pow! haha", or "Spy Here" amusing? Because to me it reeks of newfag and trying to hard to be clever.
The whole 'Mine!' thing was cute for a while, but it has reached a point where there isn't much to separate it from the much hated 'First!'

Why did I associate the batteries with vibrators immediately, looking at them?

If you work around as much retards as me you'll come to cherish moments of absolute silence in hiking Jo.
I can always read books, manga, comics and shit,
actually I would be glad if I'd get a power shortage to catch up on my backlog.
Also, I always have ye olde alcohol as a backup plan.

Who needs DS and internet, when you can have outdoor public sex?

Who needs DS when you can make your own fun together in the woods?

A part from video gaming, I'm an avid mountain biker. It is the one thing I love more than gaming. I have a $6000 custom bike. Its my pride and joy.
On another note, are the two engies together or something?

@TubeWorm: The DS has a battery, it's just a rechargeable one. Take your DS apart and you'll see it easily.

I have a horrible feeling that people are going to be overly self-righteous in this comment thread by making technology look like the devil. :(

I quite enjoy camping, provided there's friends along. That way, you have all the companionship and entertainment needed.... Oh, and a good knife and a couple blocks of whittling wood, in case there's no deadwood around.
Lolz.

There are gadgets that can charge your game batteries from your car or even solar enegy. This way you can have battery life for months in the wild!

2 things, DS doesn't take batteries. Another, 3DS/Vista last longer then 4 hours. Around 9 hours is the correct answer.
El_Nazgir

Indeed, just a few good books and some interesting locations to visit is all you need to spend time while camping. Interesting company would help too of course.

What. All backup you need camping is a book.

Ohoho Jo you need to get used to the nature more. One day we will be forced to survive in them. Mobile phone last 3 days max, 3DS and Vita only last 4 hours, Gameboy may last 12 hours perhaps? Bring a sketchbook and a box of stationary and draw stuff :)

Yeah, same here, the DS never has enough battery life.
