I don't play WOW, but I have to ask, can't they carry around both a bow and a melee weapon and switch between the two in combat as needed?

The talent system always sucked. Your "amazing" prot build sound gimmicky and likely was only useful in very few situations.

Next, in WoW News: All abilities for all classes replaced with a single "Attack" ability. Quoting lead developer, Rich McMoneypants, "We felt that each class having more than one ability led to unnecessary complexity, particularly because most could already play this way using our Macro feature."

I love how people judge it to be so bad before they have actually seen any real gameplay. sure, cataclysms content sucked but that is because they spent atleast half of the production time on making low level areas instead of high level content. I hope you realize this is more like the first expacs.

During our server maintenance this week, the “Power of the Aspects” spell grew more powerful, reducing the health and damage dealt of all enemies in the Dragon Soul raid by 35%. This spell has grown progressively stronger over time to reduce difficulty and make the encounters more accessible.

This comics is, in my humble opinion, not exactly true.
In fact, other melee classes could enjoy the fact that hunters doesn't have melee weapons anymore, but think of that : The only class wich realy enjoy this fact is the Duid !
The bears and the kittys have agi weapons, so it's still there !

Lotta ppl confused between steamlining and simplyfying.

@Mikael: No, you're right, hence the rejoicing. Wish I could go back to WoW, but it would be expensive to catch up on the expansion; the market changed (AH); the new numbers kinda of scare me(+1 bazzilion stamina); the gold income changed; I would still be unable to PvP decently; and the reasons I left are still there.

since some classes have to use too many keybinds still (fucking 20+ on my shaman for raiding and 30+ for pvp). Ability bloat is a bit out of control and they really need to trim some more spells.
Been playing Guild Wars 2 and that game uses the perfect amount of character skills in only 13 keybinds
Turbotef

Eh, been playing WoW for nearly 8 years now and I feel the game is in a much better place atm. The combat rotations feel better now, tanking feels much more intuitive now, and the raids (pre-nerfs) have stayed fun and challenging. I still feel that Blizzard needs to streamline ablities more though.

I read up on the forums and it seems people just don't realize that old and new WoW players need to do the sensible thing and call out Blizzard for the obvious: They're NERFING the game!
PS. This has been a huge trend of theirs since Vivendi bought out Activision and merged it with Blizzard.

Oh, Hunters have no deadzone now? What's that? Warriors, rogues and such no longer have a use for their shoot or throw abilities? That's nice I guess.
In GW2 a ranger can switch to a melee weapon, or a warrior/thief to a ranged weapon and continue being effective with two full sets of skills.
