Zone-Tan IS in the game, the guy who designed it (I think) donated 225k to Skullgirls outside of the main Indiegogo's campaign and made them SG team work on it alongside Squigly. She's coming out as the second DLC character.

The Skullgirls team got a huge push from the brony fandom when it was heard that they would GIVE AWAY their engine, free, to ManeSix to continue work on the successor to 'Fighting is Magic'. In case you didn't hear, some lawyers complained, BUT the team got Lauren Faust to design all new characters.
