SteamOS and Steam Machines may be the next big thing for Valve, to perhaps ensure their survival into the ever-changing gaming industry.
However, at least for me, this change really little. I already have Steam on my computer and I like to play it on a desk because mouse and keyboard. I may (or may not) buy a Steam Machine if the price is right but otherwise this news really don't change anything to me.
If I really, REALLY wanted to play Steam on my living room I could do it right now with Big Picture mode and my Xbox controller.
It's interesting news but not the kind of news which makes my heart race. Now, a new TF2 class, THIS would be big news.
