They stopped trying to make the DOA Tournament a central focus on the story and instead concentrated on the evil and shady DOATEC up until 5. I kinda miss the silly ending cutscenes of 4 though. No love for non ninjas in 5.

Hardly anyone who played DOA cared about the story. They play it for you-know-whats and the fighting system itself.

There is probably also a joke about them including the first girl not to have double Ds next week. Ye it is insane I know, the world is coming to an end.

Anyways, the story takes about 1 hour to complete in DoA5 and is "ninjas vs evil scientists and amnesiacs (Rig(?))".

DOA5 - An attempt at a bigger story is made, sweat physiques are introduced and less anime-ish faces and proportions are touted. Kasumi is looking for her clone to finish her off, Ayane is back to hunting Kasumi and Helena barely does anything. Payoff and new stuff, only in the ending spoilers.

DOA 3DS : Summary of games 1 to 4, a few retcons, a few clarifications, the story is still mostly about the ninjas + Helena. Still no sweat physiques to be seen.

DOAX2 - Zack brings back the Island from DOAX from the depths of the sea and... does the exact same thing to trick the girls into coming to his island. (Except Tina, Lisa and Helena, who relaxed, relaxed, owed him a favor)

Kasumi and Ayane are clearly dumbasses.

DOA4 - The ninjas want to destroy DOATEC for good, because revengeance. They succeed. They meet Alpha-152, a super listerine clone of Kasumi, but she fucks off at some point during the fight. Helena almost commits seppuku, but Zack rescues her. Some Halo character made it in.

DOAX - Zack tricks all the girls onto coming to his island for 2 weeks since almost none of them would have bothered coming there unless he baited them with one of their various mental obssessions. Except Tina and Lisa, they just wanted to have fun.

DOA2:U - Backstory, Ayane and Kasumi are half-sisters. They used to get along, but Ayane, a bastard child, got super shunned by the rest of Kasumi's clan. After Kasumi becomes a runaway ninja (for revengeance), Ayane was tasked with hunting her down and killing her. Ayane's mostly just butthurt.

DOA3 - Ayane's foster dad, Genra, vanishes mysteriously and she gets a lead that tells her to check out DOATEC. He was brainwashed by DOATEC--err, no, he was actually evil all along! According to a retcon in DOA 3DS. Ayane kills him dead anyways. Things are awkward between Kasumi and her family.

Well, you could always crack a joke at Ayane's alleged desire to kill her half-sister Kasumi for betraying their clan by abandoning her duties in favor of looking for their missing brother (and new clan leader) Hayate, when in the later games it appears that it's all just talk on Ayane's part.

DOA2 - Kasumi wins DOA1, but Hayate (her brother) vanishes at some point. CEO of DOATEC gets assassinated and a whole bunch of his illegitimate children get targeted, Helena Douglas' mother was a casualty of one of these attempts. Clones happen, DOATEC gets shadier. Helena looks for revengeance.

DOA1 - Tournament called the Dead or Alive tournament, run by a company called DOATEC. Before the first DOA Tournament began, a man called Raidou walked over, slapped the shit out of the main ninja faction, crippling the son of the leader, Kasumi's (Brunette Ninja) brother. Kasumi gets revengeance.

Maybe if you made a comic about the final of the game... making some of the girls put on the venus suit?

There isn't much to it really, it's just a bunch of girls wearing very small bikinis with their breasts bouncing all over the place while they're running around playing beach volleyball, swimming and pole-dancing all day.
