*Sigh* I do like Warframe a great deal, but the longer I hang around it the more I shake my head at some of their design decisions (and indecisions).
I could probably write an exhaustive academic journal on what I think of the game and its development process.

@Wildcolt: Eh. Melee 2.0 was pretty undewhelming in my opinion. It made for decent gameplay balance, but didn't further the gameplay variety or quality nearly as much as I'd liked. I don't really like the direction it points the game or DE's development practices in, either.
@A5PECT: Eh, the slash of Warframe got a bit better with melee 2.0. And since it's clearly just a base "will it work" pass, we can more than likely expect to have it expanded upon in the future.

Doesnt surprise me.
It has a nice combat system, though not DMC3 material or anything as its still conected to a skill bar.

Cont.
Never played Vindictus, so I can't speak to it at all.
TERA was interesting for a little bit, but as you move towards the endgame combat starts to get stale and things grind down into typical MMO ruts.

@Wildcolt: Warframe is a shooter/hack and slash hybrid: heavy on the shooter, light on the hack and slash. The melee elements are there, but they don't really stand up too well on their own. There isn't much of a persistent world to speak of, either.
It's fun for what it is, though.

you can play with a controller? http://www.gamebreaker.tv/games/wildstar-mmorpg/how-to-play-wildstar-with-a-controller/ its not an official part yet but someone figured it out
@KillerXzow: The closest you'll get that's available right now is Vindictus and Warframe. Tera half-assed it. As for soon...Black Desert is on the horizon though no word on it coming to the Americas.
@KillerXzow: DO NOT try Tera. Tera is your classic MMO where all you do is press 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 and repeat. Vindictus is cool though, is not great, but the best i've seen so far.
I Wonder if there is any hack and slash based actio MMORPG. Imagine a game with DmC, bayonetta, Gow, Darksiders... Combo, parry, dodge, skill game play... Is It too much ask?
Any news on how much the game has earned so far? Because if it doesn't turn out to be a WoW-killer {inasmuch as that phrase means today}, I don't think it's going to be long for this world...
Maybe i'm talking too soon, but i'm impressed of not reading any comment like "OMG FURRIES". I guess NerfNow readers must be smarter than the internet average.
Oh, and Wildstar had released already?
I see no problem playing it with keyboard. Since it only uses 8 hotkeys for skills I mapped all of those on my mouse's numpad so I can pretty much play it with mouse only except for when I need to roll/strafe.

Exactly, X360 pad + joytokey, and EVERY game has controller support, you can set it up in, like, five minutes. I even use mine as a remote for video playing.
