@Kilgore Trout: It's not about appearing too critical, but it annoys me that people make look like Jo doesn't know english because he's not a native speaker of it, while some americans have a grammar of a three years old. It's OK to correct the errors, but give the man some credit too.
@Raxyz: I'm sorry if I seem too critical, because I do enjoy the comic very much. He's made changes to comics in the past after people have corrected him, though, so it seems like it's something that he does care about getting right.
Do you guys ever think maybe the errors are due to typos and not lack of knowledge? I mean, he wrote over one thousand comics already...
I'm brazillian just as well and i haven't a single work written in english, yet i believe i have an fluent english.
By doing this, he gave his opponents chance to prepare for battle and not to be flatfooted. To warn enemy, Sviatoslav usually sent an envoy with a message "Idu na vi" ("I go on you"). Therefore, "Na'Vi" in Ukrainian means "on you".
There there can be more than one origin of the team name. Sviatoslav I Igorevich ruled the predecessor of Ukraine - Kievan Rus in X century. He is remembered by many achievements, including a habit to warn enemies about oncoming attack, that he was going to perform, for few days in advance.

He seems to maintain a very short gap between drawing a strip and posting it, and having to hand it off to an editor (who may or may not be available by the time he finishes drawing) can easily throw off his workflow.

NerfNow has a very frequent update schedule, and I'm guessing Jo's afraid adding an English editor as a middleman would slow down his publishing process.

Re: Jo's English. I'm pretty sure if he wanted a third-party English translator/editor he would have found one by now. Most of his grammatical and syntax errors are extremely minor nowadays (I don't notice them during normal reading), and if he keeps doing his own translations he'll only get better.
Anyway, I know I linked to this comic before, but it looks like Na'vi is doomed now: http://www.nerfnow.com/comic/1102 Oh well, they had a good run, and maybe this will cheer Engie up a bit.
Jo, I would recommend taking Dagnet's suggestion. There are no problems with the words in the third panel, but in the second one it should say "Experienced Dota fans who know what's best pick Na'vi AS their team of choice" instead of "HAS their team of choice."

Sometimes I forget Jo isnt North American. Probably because he saves his N.A. Jokes for when they are appropriate inestead of all the time.
Puppey can sometimes be annoying if he tries too hard to be funny but overall they are a bunch of nice guys.
On the other hand, Navi US has Sneyking...
You should watch Korok's plays Jo, he is a real beast!

Their roster is made up of rather nice guys, as far as I remember. There are Dendi, Funn1k, KuroKy, Puppey and XBOCT... And none of them is much of a douche... I think.
Man, if you wanna send me the dialog in portuguese I can totally translate it for you, or even proof check it in english. I am serious about this proposal.
