@A5PECT: I'm a NN! fan since mute, speechless comics. Later I loved the change into general gaming comic even more, because variety is a good thing. Constant, not understandable DotA2 feels like a step back.
I'm pretty sure YOU are the selfish one here if you want to be the only NN! audience.

Apparently some individuals can't handle the idea that there's media out there designed to cater to people other than them.
I apologize for being frequently negative, but Dota 2 is a frequently negative game. If you have ever tried playing it without a group of friends to queue with, it's usually hell. People yell, stab you in the back and generally cease to be part of the team for no real reason every single game.
@Nerf NOW!!: It's funny because they won't allow people make fanart, yet they sell rights to their IP to companies with absolute trash to their name. (Eutechnyx - makers of Ride to Hell: Retribution)
Awe, poor Jo. Don't get down. People will be people and there's always gonna be some haters. Personally I do not like Dota 2 really at all and never play it. But even though I don't get most of your Dota 2 jokes, I still enjoy reading your strips. No matter the subject :)
@Nerf NOW!!:
I'm not sure they are anymore, considering that such abomination as Storm of Vengeance exists.
As for Dota 2 jokes, you have to understand that Jo mostly draws Dota 2 because he enjoys the game, not because he wants to appeal to it's fanbase or whatever.
@Sik: Well, I for example, don't play TF2, but that doesn't prevent me from getting most of the jokes.
DOTA2 and LoL on the other hand...

Lurker here. I never played TF2 nor LOL nor DOTA2, and I learned a lot about them from this site. This helped me when I became friends with a LOL player. So yeah, I'm in the opposite side of those who complain.
@Korvalus: But in the end of the day, why risk? GW doesn't play nice with fan-artists so I, personally, prefer to not put myself in a bad situation, small as the chances may be.

@AlephTTM:(Taking a lucky guess) By the way. ALEPH? What's the O-12's pet AI doing in there? This isn't Maya. ;) Maybe we sould tell Jo about what I'm saying, he would like the Daktari or the Reverend Moiras...

@AlephTTM: I'm saying the Serpents/Wraithknights because it's the most OP thing in there and we know how competitive Jane is. Anne would be better suited with dark eldar because the fanservicey wyches. IG ould be better to Alek because it's like her: simple, strong and straightforward.

@Nerf NOW!!: I think GW only gets touchy when it's paid content. There is some free webcomics (including the superb "Wolf and Sister" which I reccomend. Look for it) that have been left alone. You can always mail them and ask. Still your decision, Jo, we will respect whatever you do.
"comment section so you may as well visit it for futher explanation"
"It's a nice way to also interact with other Nerf NOW!! fans too"
"make me want to not check the comments anymore."
In a distant future, Jo can make a kickstart to sell the digital copy in hardcore paperback with the name "How to train yours techies!". Is like "how to train your dragon", but with Nerfnow Girls.
@Korvalus: Nah, Eldar trickery would be better suited for Anne-Marie. Jane would play Imperial Guard, and unleash eleven barrels of hell.
@Korvalus: Games Workshop is very anal with their IP. I don't see me doing anything more than a doodle about Warhammer.

Still mis the 40k strips, though. I think that Morgan would like the game, and Jane will enjoy a "Serpent-Wraithknight spam" Eldar army, much to our chargrin.

You tell me. I don't even play dota (thanks to the playerbase mostly) so some of these it's hard to get them. But I still like the comic, not only fot the art, but because I find several parallelisms between the dota base and elements of tabletop wargaming (40k, if you're curious).
@Batman: antagonizing someone isn't going to get any results, and it's just a dick thing to do. constructive criticism is more reasonable, and even then, Jo's under no obligation to care.
This would happen soon enough. People only have so much patience, and some here really test this limit. I tell ya, people abuse the anonimity way too much. Personally I believe Jo was far too kind. I'd have sent the "fuck you" way earlier and more straightforward.

that's the point, everyone wants to antagonize jo until he gets frustrated enough to do what they want just so that they'll stop irritating him.

The ordering of the panels is sort of clever because in the game time lapse not only puts you in the past but also in the position where you were in the past. Of course, I don't think it' especially good as most of his dota 2 jokes.

Joke is that the hero, weaver, has a skill where he can "time lapse" 5 second in to the past. The way I see it, I read the comic forwards, then saw weaver "time lapse" into the past so that the last panel didn't happen and he didn't explode on mines and then claims he's not a scrub
i don't play dota, but the comics can still be good. this one is too poorly explained to really like. i mean, i shouldn't have to rely on someone else to get it.
Read the comic backwards. It's basically just weaver thinking that going where the sign says danger is the safest path, since techies don't usually put up signs were the bombs actually are. He then gets blown up and goes back to the "start" of the comic, yelling his ire at the techies.
I don´t quite get this one, not even with the comments, yet i know a lot about dota 2, just not dota 1. i dont know whether it´s from both

@Mr. Lemon: It is an artists privilege to do whatever he wants for art. But it is everybody else's privilege to call it crap and ignore it. As a non-dota player the comics about it are rarely enjoyable for me as well, and I'd also appreciate not relying on other fans to explain the joke.
"people always comment it on the comment section so you may as well visit it for futher explanation." - in other words: "I don't want to draw anything but dota so I'll let commenters do the dirty work for me. Two birds, one stone".
