Ok, I know these Zone-tan strips are solely comedic, and Zone as a guest artist is a highly doubtful fact, but I'd love to see Zone actually upload a NerfNow parody, either a short (N)SFW comic strip or maybe an April Fool's game ? :p
Personally my childhood had more Sonic (the old 2D ones) than Megaman so I'm not that into Mighty 9 but I have seen Freedom Planet and I would say that it seems better than Sonic.
I don't see Mighty 9 becoming as big as Megaman unless they make more games with more new stuff but I see it as a game good enough to satiate the starving Megaman fans.
And in this age we have many games that focus on money grabbing or games specialized in making you an addict with the "fun" aspect left to the sidelines. On top of that 2D games are not that common anymore as it seems easier to make 3D now.
@Raxyz Agreed, I played Umihara Kawase for the first time almost 20 years after it was released and loved every aspect of it. And it is a 2D game with only 2 buttons, no story or cutscenes. The gameplay is fun, the music is nice and the art is pretty.
The gameplay is still fun though, and Mighty 9 adds new stuff to it, like wider levels, the air dash and technically no creative limitations for the developers (megaman was blue because of the nes palette having more blue), so that's an upgrade.
About the stylus arc, i have a question : WACOM or N-TRIG?.
And about Megaman, i agree, it was a cool game but its in the past, right now, there are many platforms that are way better. For the same basis, i don't get it why the hype with SHOVEL KNIGHT.
@Scath Lann: IMO, these are the best of the megaman series. (well, the one I prefered at least). The post-apocalyptic time, and evolution of the characters. The zeo ones are the best, for me. (20yo, played the ds ones (zx), emulated the gba ones on my phone (zero),
I'm actualy more for this kind of stories. Of course you're still focused on your daily bread, which is understandable. And majority are probably for game related arc?
anyway, back to troll mode: I demand Zone-Tan as guest artist!
Oh, and Megaman related. The thing is, it IS a 2D plataformer. There anren't many of those nowadays, so even though the situation in gaming had changed, some people still like those games. Myself included. Just look at the success Bloodstained is making.
Age means nothing, quality however...
So... Jo didn't came back AND Zone didn't made a guest comic. That's a double cockblock in a single ending. ;-;
Nevertheless, I still liked the arc.
>Well Played!
>Arc is hard.
So, no return of Tentajo, no guest-strip by Zone. I am disappoint :-(
After the last strip I expected a much better payoff. This is just a letdown and a waste of so much potential... ;_;
@JoPereira I mean the good Dr.G is also extremely busy, but you have collaborated with him. So here hoping someday. Also, play 40k regicide. I just want to make you do 40k art again.
I'm curious Jo, do you actually know Z0ne well enough to have him do a guest strip? Because I love Nerf Now and I love your work, but seeing Z0ne draw the ladies would be pretty fucking sweet to see.
