@James Maxwell: Wow, thats weird, and even more if you think about how Dota 2 handle map positions; the server only shares your position with a player if they had vision of your location, so it's very hard to hack it.
@VenomBHz: At one point the enchantress was in a teamfight when he placed mines, and he had already left by the time she looked. She moved the creeps to the general area he was at in the fog and ran them around until she found them.
@VenomBHz: Watching the player perspective of the enchantress she would stare at him in the fog of war, and as soon as he left tell them to move directly to the mines every single time he placed them for the entire game.
@VenomBHz: They exist. It's not common but they do exist. There is a replay that a streamer broke down where an enchantress would continuously send her jungle creeps over his techies mines, even when he put them in places that no sane person would ever walk.
Jo was possibly playing in -wtf mode... I've never seen this kind of hacks in normal or ranked games, ever. Not even in videos, no reddit or devforums complain.
I've never seen an actual hacker in dota 2. I thought of some kid being a maphacker and after watching the replay I'm even more sure of it, but stuff like you described, I've never seen.
@Sublustris: It means "Road To The International #6". The International is a big tournament to crown the best pro Dota team in the world. So far there have been 5 of them. I believe when somebody says "Road to TI6" he means "I'm going to be good enough to qualify for the 6th International next year.
@Technature: Now if people insulted each other all the time, I'd use up my 6 reports very fast, and that used to happen. But these days I never use up all 6 in a single week, because people are insulting and flaming each other much less often from what I can see.
@Technature: To give you an idea of how it is, I have 6 reports to use per week to report bad behaviour, and I never report anybody just because they don't play well. I will use one of these reports if one of my teammates so much as says "You suck" or "You fucking noob" or something. [cont]
@Technature: I'm not saying you should give the game another try because I totally understand why you wouldn't want to, but I think that the steps Valve has taken in recent years to punish bad behaviour have helped make the community better, even if it can still be bad sometimes.
@Technature: I was telling a guy I teamed with about how in your first and only game people were telling you to kill yourself, and he was actually surprised by that, Tech. I haven't been teamed with anybody who was THAT nasty in a very long time myself. [cont]
I agree. That's why so many Dota players lose their tempers. If TF2 punished you for leaving a game and all games lasted 30 minutes or more, TF2 players would lose their tempers too.
"Give me a break, you posted 3 photo notes already!" Damnit, now I cannot finish my photo note joke! D:
Btw: Is it wrong that I can hardly pay my rent and my food, yet the little money I have left, I'll spend it on Dota 2 coaching instead of a gym membership or Summer Sale?
If you think you have seen an hacker in dota 2, maybe you can download the replay and share it so the problem can be observed, and solved.
Right now, like the other people in the comments, i doubt that there is any hacker in dota2,but i'll watch replay of any suspcious game. Cheers.
Uhm, I'm going to have to call your bluff in this. You haven't actually seen any hackers in Dota, have you Joe? At least, not in the sense you're talking.
"but in Dota2, even if I see the enemy flying around the map at mach 3 shooting rainbow lasers"
Oh that is not a hack, just a Tinker with Aghanim's Scepter.
2nd is a Feeder script that picks a fast champion, buys move speed items, and just has it run straight into the enemy base all game. The last is the "drophack" which deletes the game info from Riot servers so it doesn't exist.
I know of 3 common "hacks" in LoL. One is several scripts for different champions which use skill shots. It makes landing and avoiding them super easy, but those that use them tend to end up around plat at the highest. <C>
@Jo Pereira: I'm on the same boat as Jean-Sébastien. After many years and almost 2.000 matches of DotA 2 I haven't seen a hacker even once. No idea what your "mach 3 rainbow laser" guy was about - maybe a custom game mode? ;-)
Any chances we'll see some fallout comics now that FO4 has been announced and stuff? I mean, do what you want of course, but I'd love to see some fallout.
@AckAckAck The Thing is: In most cases you wouldn't even realise that it is a hacker, or better, a scripter. Because Hacking in DotA is nearly impossible, but scripting with Scripts that use the normal Game is possible. For example: There is a script for PA which couses to attack and stop the attack
There aren't hackers in dota2 per se, but scripts exist that automate certain things. The good thing about dota2 is that if you're really good, you'd still win regardless so I don't really mind some of those 'hackers'.
Well, it's actually a legit reason why DOTA suck. I remember now why I quit CounterStrike scene. It was so ridden with hackers it sap the fun from everything. TF2 is still tolerable.

Never met something in DotA 2 to make me suspicious of hacking. At most, maybe a bug or two, like me and a teammate making the 3rd pick together and then other team being able to chose 3rd and 4th already knowing two of our picks.
