Should try FFXIV if you ever want to give the mmorpg thing a chance again. Its made many, MANY impacts on the genre itself and basically picks up in all the areas wow been flopping in for the past x years. Its a good mix of good wow and gw2, with its own flavor. Has the hardest pve ever seen.
It is not real Latin, but some of it translates when you throw it into an online (ie not entirely helpful) translator:
lorem ipsum dolor sit amet , consectetur adipiscing elit. phasellus the ends of the massa , sit amet , in the real estate from the bananas .
The film will show other races, but early participation will be low if there is a sequence in the future, of course, elves, dwarves, trolls, ogres and pandas will be shown.
I'm thinking that the Warcraft movie will end up being the truest form of Dungeons & Dragons movie we'll ever get. You could argue that LotR already did and was that but, I don't agree. I think other D&D players wouldn't either. WoW is so much like classic D&D, in SO many ways, it almost hurts.
Umm, Jo, you might wanna research about the movie quite a bit more than you obviously didn't before coming up with a strip that doesn't really involve the movie...
Best part is ppl saying like it'll be the best movie ever. Fanboys, pls. WoW might be the supreme MMO, but this impacts nothing on the quality of the movie. Especially when there's Mad Max, Star Wars, Deadpool, Batman v Superman and many others.
The short of it: This will be a Warcraft movie, not a World of Warcraft movie. Warcraft has never been about all the steampunk and current lore. There were pandas though.
But I suspect that we will be getting a movie where everything said in the movie will be explained not just referenced.
Duncan "Zowie Bowie" Jones confirmed at the SDCC panel that they're trying to make a movie that both the fans and people who don't give a flying fudge about the Warcraft games would enjoy.
Yeah, I've seen a couple articles and it is just the original Warcraft game they're basing it, even more so on the novel than the game. I'd guess if it's successful they'll tackle Warcraft 2 and 3 and MAYBE then do a WoW movie. It does feel a bit too late since most people only know WoW.
The movie will focus on pretty much just humans and orcs. Reason being, they're not making the movie for WoW fans, they're making it for people that don't know Warcraft lore. Feel free to bitch about that, but thought I'd clarify.
Huh... Jo? The movie is NOT based on WoW. It's based on the first warcraft game! So no dwarves, no gnomes, no space goat, no pandaren (which are totally underrated, they have the most diverse personality trait in all of WoW and *stops fan digressing*) but yeah... don't see it as another WoW product!
From that leaked trailer, the movie will be about the first orc invasion through the Dark Portal, and there'll be live human actors with CGI orcs. Only way Blizzard could raise some hype now would be with Warcraft 4, but that'll never happen
@Shellhit: actually, it can gather a lot of points, more with the lore extra of WoW.
Medivh's betrayal, the fall of Azeroth, the rise of Doomhammer, Garona and Llane, Durotan and his son...
I'll just watch it for the same reason as with SW: cool action scenes. I'll do my best to ignore crazy aesthetics or script flaws. To me, the lore is long dead.
@nevv: I think it's going to be released after CnC 5
@Shadow12000: I am not quite sure but I thought that first Warcraft basically had almost no story whatsoever. WC2 was the one with the plot and characters and stuff.
+1 to xkcd_386. Jo, that's a very shortsighted statement about "what's the point". It's covering The First War, the first game, which if you ever look up, is very, very old now, most computers probably can't run it. This is a retelling of a story, and we'll just have to see if it's in a good way.
