Why play DOTA 2 when I can just go to a BDSM club and get myself whipped? At least there I'll be berated by an older woman instead of some teenager over voice chat.
@Waka: I did. Stopped playing it. It's the real victory, really, having to stop dealing with shitheads like you who think every critic to the game is made by bad players.
@Raxyz: It's good game design to buff rather than nerf, but it's complex and likely to create even more problems.
A game I like is awesomenauts, in that game when they had a major rebalancing update, they changed the way damage was calculated to obscure who was nerfed and buffed. Few complained
@Raxyz
um yes? a lot of heroes have gotten stronger and not just MK been nerfed. even before this, most of the time MK player gets trashed in my games.
Sounds like first time Doto. Has always been that way. Elder Titan was a beast with like 40 more damage than today, Alch was really broken. If MK bothered anyone, he hasn't been around for long. MK was bad, but not nearly as bad as some other heroes when they were new.
That changed now, obviously, but why? Have the other heroes gotten stronger? Or has MK been nerfed? There's your answer. And that's why Dota stopped being fun to me. I made myself clear back then, it was my opinion. Go on ahead if you still like it, but don't force your own opinion on anyone else.
A clear example of that was 7.00 MK, he was utterly unstoppable then, everyone else was too watered down to deal with him effectively, he was unbeatable in any 1v1 scenario, even against early game monsters like Axe, Undying, Nightstalker or similar. You could NOT solo lane against a MK.
@nightarix: Nice try, but far from the truth. I had a myriad of mains in Dota 2, they were slowly, but surrely handing out more nerfs than buff in a patch. Not all of them were my favourites, but hero variety was slowly decreasing in pubs.
Totally abandoned dota after 7.00. Their balancing stopped being fun IMO, it's effective for tournaments sure, but not nearly enough in pubs. That shrines and talents stuff I could never get used to either.
