Thats the whole problem - Her royal guard is made of... toads!

But why would they be responsible for preventing her from being captured? They are just plumbers, saving the princess is overtime.

The princess should be the one to take care of her own safety. She commands an entire kingdom, it wouldn't be too hard for her to create a royal guard.

This is one of my favorite comics. It really shows how inefficient the Mario Bros. are when the Princess is safe, since unlike the comic, once Bowser has been defeated, they make no effort to actually prevent Bowser from capturing her again.

What this doesn't shown, is the oppressive rule in which the blue toad rules. Ruling the Mushroom kingdom with a iron fist, enslaving the rest of the population and planning on world domination.

There seems to be some major problems with Uniformity in the Toad army.
