@dragomanser: no. just forgetful apparently. there's been too many comics to count. i've been here since the silent days.

Even though it's tactically disadvantageous, I like to wait on until they either naturally build up or I can manually do it. My younger brother and his fiance had stronger connections with other soldiers from day one, so I waited and eventually sent them on a covert bonding operation. Worth it.

ah snipers... The Magikarp of XCOM... Sure they suck at first, but once they gold combo of a Superior Scope, Auto Loader, and Expanded Magazine is combined with Serial skill... well The power to potentially pop 18 Ayys in one turn with one unit is just beautiful (my current record's only 13 though)

You should try a Templar and Skirmisher combo. End tier Templars can block almost everything and can slice up anything that gets close to it. Skirmishers get a sudo alien ruler turn after enemy action allowing them to blast at an enemy after they take a turn.

The snipers may be weak at the start - but you DO want to level them up...

so first off wow, x-com 2 sounds way more complicated then x-com 1.

Although I usually run Bluescreen rounds on my snipers.

Snipers in XCOM 2 are great once you reach Major and Colonel, often topping the kill boards by the end of a campaign despite having the straight weakest early game of any classes.

Getting a Superior Scope, Superior Perception PCS, and Tracer rounds, and literally nothing doesn't have 100% to hit.

@Type99: Snipers on Xcom 1 were godlike

On Xcom2 their are fair, but nowhere near On The Zone Snipers of Xcom1

Aren't snipers bad in the beginning but godlike in the late game? I remember being able to mow down dozen of enemies once I was able to sport x2 of them with jetpacks in xcom 1.

Turn your Snipers (sorry, Sharpshooters) into Gunslingers. Problem solved.

Also, Specialists are pretty good later in the game if they get some extra hacking. Getting control of Andromedon once you crack him is always amusing. Bonus points if you controlled him before with Psi Operative.

I tens to use the extra bond action on the Capture the Supply missions. The extra move to tag a crate they're going to grab next turn.

@Jo
Can you export characters based on comic heroes and upload them somewhere? would be cool to do playthrough with them ^^

@Samuel Measa: Best bonds are grenadiers + anything.

Problem of Snipers is they can't shot twice even with bond powers, and if they shot the sniper rifle (which needs to be their 1st action) they pass their turn so they can't bail people out.

I've seen a few complaints where some one has imported their "Band of Brothers" with plans of whos going to be best buds. Then not been happy when they don't bond as the player wants them to.

snipers are actually ok bondmate because teamwork ability don't require LOS, so you can give them a chance to shoot after repositioning, or pull the other bond mate out of a bad situation from afar, the only problem is snipers are still pretty shit in time limited missions.

That one is on my wishlist, seems to be a fun little addition. I alwys bring a sniper though, in every Xcom playthrough I did, there's always one female sniper that wrecks EVERYTHING! She gets the honorable title of Rebecca Cisneros. Once in XC1 she panicked and killed 3 in one turn, lol.
