Ya, and 90% of the stuff you get out of the loot boxes are equal to or less than the price of a single loot box. I doubt you have more than a 10% chance to get something of greater value. from both medium range to high range.
And them you have games where the stuff from the lootboxes are vital for you to advance. Of course you can get some boxes for free but the chance of getting something useful is so low you need tons of them to play properly.
Loot boxes for cosmetics are acceptable if the game already features a good amount of customization... if the game literally has 5 presets and then 100+ more cosmetics hidden in pay-to-get boxes, it's the same bullshìt.
There is a big difference between loot boxes including cosmetic only items (Overwatch) or gameplay/progression elements (Battlefront II).
The former is totally acceptable even if it may be frustrating. The later is complete cancer, especially in a full-price game.
I am playing a game called Crusaders of the Lost Idols and its all about "loot boxes". However, this game is for free and you could win loot boxes for free, so i a not mad with every loot boxes, only loot boxes that aren't fair (paying for a game then paying for extension that you get random)
Skins are not made because they are more profitable than new content - they are made because artists have plenty of "free" time compared to other jobs in the game company. This is also the reason why most of them are textures, not models.
I would like to take this opportunity to point out a great injustice.
The golden haired goddess, Alek, has not appeared in a comic since late July and hasn't had a speaking role since February.
I miss her, Jo, and quite frankly, she deserves better.
Someone can think this is serious and ask about how to buy Nerf Now Loot box XD
Aside the obvious joke, The whole lootbox idea in real life, phisical terms can be rewarding because you get stuff to show and collect. The digital idea of loot box stinks. Works like a lottery to find random stuff
