Considering that even the Demo's original 'nade launcher got a lower ammo clip and Engie's scifi gun no longer pierces multiple enemies, it's safe to bet the pyro's new gun will get some sort of nerf soon.
It feels like a fire shotgun with he trade-off being a really awful airblast. But having it go THROUGH multiple enemies rapid fire doing massive burst damage can be pretty OP. Also, I feel like it doesn't do as well against Soldiers or a good Demoknight. I'm having more fun with that Jetpack though.

Personally, I think an easy fix for this whole situation would be that the Fury only deals bonus damage if you ignited the target. That way dragon's fury hordes can't mow down an entire team because one vanilla pyro ignited everyone
@NONE: Gotta agree on the range part, it's SLIGHTLY better then the standard flame, and the base damage for a single hit is 20 or so with a few seconds of afterburn. On the other hand, the thing does have a decent firerate, the combo hit is 80 and adding more to the Afterburn damage, and no reload.
I'm glad other people think the new flamethrower is too damn powerful. A pyro should not be able to comfortably take on a heavy 1v1 but I was melting them in about 3 shots.
Well i get the completly diffrent vibe from that thrower. Long range is actually the range of regular flamethrower and the dmg is not that impressive even if you hit everything compared to a normal one.
Guys, really, relax. It's not the first time Valve released a ridiculously broken OP weapon (even if you count only Pyro weapons), and they always got nerfed after a while when everyone had had a chance to have some fun with pwnage.
The worst part of the update is the number of Pyros I keep facing on the enemy team that seem to have Platinum reflect skills. Seems like the entire enemy team's Pyros are experts & my team's Pyros can't even left click.
Dragon's Fury has advantages and disadvantages (most notably the weapon's mechanics slow user's reactions to changes in surroundings). Learning all them is the key in fighting. Althrough 8 pyros in team make those damage vs burning more threating, this hopefully will end when pyro superhype ends.
It will probably get worse when people learn how to use the Dragon's Fury. I thought the normal flamethrower would be completly useless now when Dragon's Fury came out, but I have noticed that many pyros are scrubs with it as they panic when you get in close range and 'dance' arround them.
