@Beastwolf: I think you're very optimistic about people's abilities. Having an opinion on politics doesn't imply ANY mental faculties, and some opinions imply a lack of them.
You wished to avoid political yet you put it right below the strip.
As you can see, anyone who's into politics already has the ability to read, then discard what they've read in favor of pushing their own ideas.
@lil Joshu: You were talking about buying pizza for a group, not about political influence. Of course the most polite would be to ask but chances are that everybody in the group is allowed to eat pork unless you are in an specific group/area.
You think pineapple on pizza is weird? I kid you not where I live people dip their pizzas into Ranch Dressing. I'm not even kidding. I have always considered my peers who do so to be aliens please help.
@lil Joshu: Tomato works because it is rich in glutamate. This is why people use it on sauces and all sort of stuff. Not that I have anything against pineapple.
@All
Also worth pointing out, pineapple gives a kick to pizza because it's a sweet high vitamin C fruit.
Know what else is a sweet high vitamin C fruit?
Tomato.
Pineapple is basically Tomato for on top of your pizza instead of under it.
@T Fair enough, I was thinking in terms of political influence rather than numbers of people (And Islam, Judaism, and some Christian sects don't eat Pork.) But you're right, hindus and buddhists have better numbers, and kudos to them, do a better job of preventing religious political interference.
@lil Joshu: Two thirds? Major religions are Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. if you were thinking about Judaism as a major religion even Shinto and Falun Gong have more followers.
Some religion ban to eat pork. But PRACTICALLY ALL RELIGIONS ban to kill and steal, and most, self-called, religious people still do that, including their priests.
@Jo Pereira: Indeed. there are very few jews, muslims, hindus and other religions that ban prok down here. It is much more likely that one refuses to eat pork due to vegetarianism.
@lil Joshu: Those major religions may not be big on your country. Here it's easier for someone to not eat pork because he is vegan than because god forbid it.
@lil Joshu tend to be naturally sweet. And as more people don't like that specific sharp contrast than people that do I'd say one with mixed vegetables is the safer bet. Less safe than cheese but not boring. But then this hypothetical situation could be avoided by asking preferences.
@lil Joshu I kinda meant you don't know their preferences but knew them. Also i didn't mean meat in particular as vegetables tend to be more accepted on pizza as they to mix better with the cheese and tomato as many vegetables don't have too much of contrast in terms of taste as not many vegetables
@SNRDEMON
It's better than buying pepperoni pizza for a group of people you don't know. Literally two thirds of the world's major religions ban pork. (Of course assuming you don't add ham to that pineapple.) Pineapple's at least a 50/50 chance. Safest bet is cheese, but that's boring.
... a kind of breakfast pizza. Likely having some kind of other fruit as a sauce maybe applesauce. Then maybe having a kind of thin layering of pastry flavored with some kind sweetener. Then adding other kind of fruits on top. But the crust and the pastry would have to be baked first.
I mean liking pineapple pizza is fine as long as you don't get a pineapple pizza for a group of people who you are unsure on their feelings towards it as in it's far more likely they won't enjoy it than and instead have a distaste for it. Now I don't like it but I do like the idea of <Out of space>
I find the the taste of pineapple on pizza to be, weird.
Not bad, just weird.
I don't hate it. I'll eat a slice or two. But I won't go out of my way to eat it.
I'm not a fan of Pineapple Pizza but as long as I'm not eating it people can eat as much of it as they want. Had one bad experience where someone ordered a bunch of pizzas for me and my friends and decided to get pineapples on all on them,yeah doesn't hurt to ask what toppings people want,just sayin
It's okay Jo. I made that comic in my head and we'll leave it at that.
In other news, I'm not a pineapple pizza fan, but I ascribe to the philosophy of "if someone on this world enjoys it, then this weird food deserves to exist".
@Collin Rotton: It actually makes sense from a culinary standpoint.
Its a fairly common practice to offset overly salty or savory foods with sweet flavors. Case in point, its a common practice in southern US to put salt on Watermelon
