I don't get the hype. Maybe I'm just getting old but I don't see the point in getting excited for new games anymore, when I no for a fact the release price is a straight up ripoff compared to what it is going to be 2-3 years from now.
...and gameplay was dull (slash/dodge/slash/dodge/occassional spell/repeat forever), plus they removed alchemy and replaced it with that infinite refill system which is unengaging imo. I am going to attempt another playthrough once the free update hits but this will be my fourth and final try.
@Albert Johfur
I know i'm alone in this and I could go into detail but the tl;dr is that I don't actually like open world most of the time (usually they're bland, empty and just waste your time getting places), the story wasn't hooking me (never met Ciri/Yen so neither knew nor cared about them)...
@Bradley Hausfeld
That's weird, most people think TW3 was the best one. And I dare say it objectively is better, the only reason someone would dislike it that I could think of would be if they don't like open-world RPG's for whatever reason. Either way I'd be interested in your reasoning.
It's easy to wait when you're not that interested. ;) Just wasn't a fan of Witcher 3 (loved W1/2 though) so I just can't muster much interest in their next game. I wish we could get Deus Ex 3. :(
