Once met a small man
Traveling around in a garbage can
Had a one thousand fighters on my ship
Didn`t blast him, was too hip.

Also, interestingly enough, the latest grand battle (Goonswarm vs PAPI) was literally decided by EVE's server infrastructure genuinely collapsing under the weight of a 10,000+ player battle.

What I wish Eve had is some kind of planetside play.

It's a grand galaxy. But it feels like a void at times, because it doesn't know what Privateer knew even in '93:

Space is only *half* of the place in sci-fi.

The rest is rollickin' planets, space stations, and hot aliens.

Online games offer me nothing I can't get from singleplayer. By that I mean there are PLENTY of singleplayer games that can bore me to tears. Why pay a sub to get that same sensation?

I keep contemplating trying Eve...then I realize that the fun is more from just hearing the stories of the mayhem because most of it is boring crap

I absolutely love the sweet galactic conflict stories that come out of Galactic Spreadsheet Simulator Online. Sadly, I can't stand actually playing it. I think I'd rather actually use Excel.
