Every year people complain about how Valve is greedy and the current year Battlepass is not worth it.

Every year, it breaks records in sales.

Personally, as long as I don't need to pay for new heroes or other gameplay features (like LoL for example) they can charge 1000 USD for Viper's boots and I won't care. It's optional content that doesn't affect gameplay.

It's hard for me to bullshit Valve on that since it's optional content with no gameplay impact on a free game.

What I found REALLY bad was them cutting royalties from skin artists or not paying casters for the qualifiers games. Gaben could probably finance the whole event from his pocket and won't even notice he is missing some millions from his bank account so they cutting those paychecks seem like penny-pinching.
