Turns out the wrench drop's aren't random, but predetermined, something which Drunken F00L (Creator of the TF2 backpack examiner, and 3rd part idle program) found out.

He then made a script to make scrap metal on the time when they would drop, annnddd....

hah! One of the achievs is called "Revengineering", and it's probably achieved by using the Frontier Justice, a shotgun that gains bonus if you lose your sentry. Return of the Revengineer?

It will most likely only control your own sentry, and if not it will be changed fairly to that because of said grief.

if the wrangle can take over to any sentry built on map then it might save the fact it's turns the gun into a stationary gun ripe for back-sapping.

The Wrangler allows you to take control of your sentry making it more effective, but leaving yourself open to spies? Valve, I am dissapoint. I'd like to have something that doesn't involve me dryhumping my sentry for half a round only to die from a Spy or Demoman.

From what i have realized, the wrenches drop on set intervals.
So don't craft your stuff all at once, craft a token per hour.

I recommend not crafting at all. After the Engineer update they're going to add more than 20 new items for the Polycount contest, and you'll want to craft for those.

BTW Jo, you could tell Valve about your comic and they might give you a community weapon.

I've accepted that I'm not going to get the wrench, so let me give you losers some advice:

Don't make metal, make tokens. If you have a class token, you can turn any individual item into a craft, increasing your craft quantity.

I crafted all spares and items I didn´t really use and still at the end got like 3 refined metal, so I decided to hold and get a pyro specific headgear later on.

I thought my technique was brilliant. The 100 gold wrenches are equivlent to the 5 golden tickets in Willy Wonka. The tickets were in chocolate bars. Thus, my reasoning is that the wrenches were only distrubuted by crafting dkolahs bars.
