The only thing 40k ever has going for it really is the scale of its technology ( or biology in the case of the 'nids). All writing hamstrung by the ludicrous failure of Grimdark that tarnishes all the writing in it, all factions bereft of anything resembling sanity on a species-wide scale. Boring.

It's funny, and a bit sad really. 40k is such a hollow, pathetic universe writing-wise (when outside authors have to come in to make your shit not universally pathetic, you've failed somewhere), and Starcraft exceeds it by such a boggling degree, DESPITE being a rip-off.

One on one... maybe... to bad even the Zerg get outnumbered 10000 to one by a full scale tyranid Hivefleet invasion. And to think... they are only the tendrils, the mainfleet is still waiting beyond the galaxy. We've only seen the scouts so far :).

"Traditional" samurai armour is made more to stop puncture wounds from say arrows and spears, the main weapons of the samurai pre 16th century.

@Njal Stormcaller: Actually the iron used to force swords in Japan was of pretty low quality and no amount of folding would get rid of the fact that it's very brittle. The Bow and Spear were the primary weapons of the samurai for a reason: they are cheap and easy to make.
